According to the decision of the Ministry of Education regarding admission of students to graduate,
honors, and diploma levels in private universities, the following admission eligibility conditions have been determined:
1) Without prior approval/permission from the Ministry of Education, no program or course or student admission
can be conducted in private universities.
2) Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.50 in both SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations to be eligible for admission.
However, if one of the examinations has a GPA of less than 2.50, the other must have a GPA of at least 3.00.
In any case, the minimum GPA in each exam must not be below 2.00.
3) In O-Level examination, at least 5 subjects must be passed, and in A-Level examination, at least 2 subjects must be passed.
Out of 7 subjects, at least 4 must be graded B or above, and the rest must be at least grade C.
The overall GPA must be at least 4.00.
4) For freedom fighter quota candidates, the combined GPA of SSC and HSC or equivalent must be at least 5.00.
5) For Music, Fine Arts, Film & Media, Theater, and certain other creative disciplines, students must have
at least GPA 2.00 in both SSC/O-Level and HSC/A-Level or equivalent.
6) For admission to graduate, honors, and diploma programs in Science, Agriculture, and Engineering,
candidates must have Science background in both SSC and HSC or equivalent levels.
However, candidates from Arts and Commerce backgrounds may apply for other programs excluding Science, Agriculture, and Engineering.
7) GED degree holders will not be considered eligible for admission to private universities.
8) For English medium students, the minimum GPA requirement for admission is GPA 2.00 in both O-Level and A-Level examinations.
The above eligibility conditions must be strictly followed for student admission in all private universities.
This directive will take effect immediately.
